Hi All, I have been an MTU customer for around 20 years, and have purchased a number of their products, I have noticed my ability to reinstall Microstudio/Songverter will not work as it says they're activated on other PC's already, which I know is not the case, I have emailed, sent support tickets, messaged on facebook but no-one seems to answer. I'm in Australia so don't really want to have to revert to calling, tho I have tried texting as their website suggests. I notice their forums are no longer online, seem to come up with a 404 error. Has the company gone? Has anyone had any successful interactions with them in recent history (human an not automated)? I was going to try using songverter to get my songs out of the KMA format, but only option would now seem to be Power CDG burner, which from memory doesn't name the files correctly, so it's gonna be a huge task to recover from.. Thank god I primarily own my content on disc, digital purchases only a few hundred tracks, and I am sure I can recover most of my digital purchases through Zoom & Karaoke Version, but still... Any feedback would be appreciated! Cheers, Rob |

Hi Rob, I’ve run into something similar not too long ago, and I get how annoying it is—especially when you know the activations shouldn’t be tied up elsewhere. MTU hasn’t officially announced anything major, but the lack of response and the forum being down does make it feel like things are a bit neglected. One workaround you could try is running the software as admin and reattempting activation, or even reinstalling after clearing registry entries (if you’re comfortable doing that). |

Thanks, yeah its not on a PC that has had it previously and all installs up to the point where I enter the email/license code/computer name then goes off to transmit data to MTU and comes back failed, I managed to get Karaoke Home Producer installed, but the rest of my MTU software is somehow locked out and they are definitely not responding to tickets/sms/facebook messages, so I am thinking just get my files out of KMA format and switch to something else, there are plenty of options, just a shame as I really like MTU, but don't want my library locked into a format that wont work anywhere else, too much work spent ripping my original discs to just start over! |
