Hey guys. Been a long time since I've posted in here. Hope you all are doing well.

I just wanted to let anyone who still visits this place to know that I've been using a new program called KJGenie. You may have seen it on FB ads.

Can't say enough good about it. I've been trying to blend Karafun and conventional music for a while... Even went as far as using Siglos and Karafun at the same time (man was that hard)

This new program does exactly that... And exceptionally well.

As a standalone Karafun player, it's rotation management is worth the price of admission, instead of using KF's awful implementation.

As a standalone conventional music player, it's quite nice to use. Very intuitive, and tons of creature comfort features.

KJGenie does both. Allowing you to have your library and Karafun at the same time. Just ad a KF pro subscription. The developer is very active and constantly improving it.

Even comes with a remote request.

I figure that this place is all but a dead board at this point, but still comes up alot on Google. For those who have been here a while, we know that we appreciate a good piece of software.

I highly recommend at least trying out the 14 day trial. Don't sleep on it.

Hope you all are doing well! Miss this place ❤️

I bought a license myself. Have not fully decided on using it though although the latest update fixes what was making me think about going back to SingWS. The only thing that is keeping me from switching back is the fact that it allows me to use the Tidal player as my filler music player rather than KJGenie's atrocious folder method. All you have to do is turn on the tidal app, make sure that you are signed in and choose the playlist you set up before the event and click on play. You can either run it alongside Karafun or just with the local library. If you run Karafun you have access to the quizzes and battle mode. I'm more interested in the quizzes than the karaoke or the battle mode since I have a substantial library already. The biggest addition that I have is the ability to basically, except for songs that are not in my library or Karafun's, run my shows from the audience completely using KJGenie's hotkeys and Stream Deck for controlling the player alongside KJGenie's kiosk to put singers into the rotation.

I have never, and probably never will, relied on an on board filler music solution. I have a tablet on the side for that.. So I can't really speak to it's handling of it...

But when it comes to, imo, what truly matters in a karaoke show... it's a champ!

I like anything that takes away things that I have to worry about so I love having a filler player that doesn't mean that I have to remember to raise or lower the volume of the filler music. I rely on the filler music to eliminate dead air Sorry but I am not good at keeping banter going when waiting for the singer to get to the mic.
