Nah Chip he just does what ALL attorneys do. Emit large amounts of Smoke from their rear orifice so your eyes water up so you can't see the truth.

I think this is great news. I hope they still honor gift cards that were purchased from Digitrax. One stop shop for karaoke music. I have about 1100 brand new extra chartbuster disc's for sale. Great time to buy.

To be clear, we only bought the brand, not the back catalog. If you have credits from Digitrax, you'll need to get with them about those.

I have a bunch of the Karaoke Cloud voucher cards that I received when I bought my CB12000+ drives. I tested one a week or two ago and it still works.

I tried giving the cards out when I first received them. People left them on the tables at the venues. So I kept them. If Karaoke Cloud ever starts releasing desirable content, I will use them for myself.

Question? Aren't the CB 12000+ Drives expired. I was hoping to buy one that i missed from eBay $1000.00 but then they said they are expired with no plans to renew. but then again, someone from pep said something about honouring.

The CB drives do not expire. The CB drives were sold without any restrictions on how long they could be used.

You're both right! The discs and the drives don't expire.

We are completing paperwork on the acquisition this week, so there should be an announcement shortly after that about our plans for dealing with certifications.

In 1991 Pocket Songs introduced CD + G. Prior to that there were 8 tracks, cassettes, and laser discs. Possibly Pocket Songs should have the most right to royalties since they invented the whole genre, maybe all the manufacturers should be paying Pocket Songs for the right to process CD + G. And what about the inventor of karaoke, as a whole, Daisuke Inoue. He invented the media in 1971 and never received a cent. What about the songs we sing, from the actual singer who recorded the music, the writers, the recording companies, shouldn't they have a first right of royalty? How about karaoke KJs from the early 90s on who purchased the CDGs. Most kept receipts for tax purposes, do you still have your receipts from over 20 years ago? In Florida, the whole state has been flooded with baby boomers either bringing equipment, or starting a little karaoke business with portable equipment offering inferior sounds, charging very little. Some charge nothing and the vendors will gladly pay them nothing. In other words the whole industry has changed, most musicians are using back up tracks with their Ipads. Good luck finding all of them. Just my 2 cents worth.

Copyright payment was tied to blank CD sales early on.
The assumption was, any blank CD sold would be used to pirate music.
So, a tax was levied against all blank 700mb (So called Music) CDs, and passed on to the buyer.
Payment was dribbled out to who knows, and all was good.
Today, all pirates use digital media, hard drive or flash media.
The result, rights owners now complain "Where's My Effin' Money" :bawling: , as that boondoggle mystery tax on CDs has dried up.
Try to give away a stack of blank "Music" CDs. Ha! No luck mate.

I'm pretty sure this is not accurate as I remember seeing DK discs in the late 80's. (around 89). Also I believe Phillips/Sony were the actual inventors of CDG.

Yep in all my tax folders for each year. I have every receipt for anything I purchased online or brick & mortar stores from the day I started my company in 94. Discs that were gifted or bought used I do not have any recorded receipt - but that wasn't many discs anyway.

"The first CD to be released with CD+G graphics was Eat or Be Eaten by Firesign Theatre in 1985."
"The CD+G specifications were published by Philips and Sony in an updated revision of the Red Book specifications."

It literally takes seconds to fact check most things these days....

Just curious.... Whatever happened to the CB rules announcement? Did I miss something? I thought was coming out soon? I'd like to know BEFORE someone hands people a lawsuit

You haven't missed anything. We're revamping our website to reflect several new initiatives, including what we're planning with regard to CB. We expect to have something up in the next couple of days, and when we do, we'll make an announcement here.
