With all the talk of SC's gem series contracts indemnifying themselves from liability from copyright holders, I was wondering if there is anything wrong with copy/pasting those verses into our own contracts?

Cause I'm digging it. I want to use it myself.

Which is smarter? Just sticking to making/selling karaoke, while people all over the world create software FOR FREE that helps you sell it, or trying to compete with them and keeping it a closed loop while you blow your money into an industry (software) that you(the karaoke manu) knows nothing about?

As long as you replace all references to the original company with your own, I see no problem.. Most contracts are template or close to it anyway..
