Has anyone had any experience with the Yamaha BR-15 2 Way speakers, good or bad?

Not bad, not their top of the line.  Proper power behind them they still pack a punch!

I use Yamaha S115Vs for my mains and a BR-15 for my monitor. If you can save up the $$$, the S115Vs are twice as good, but the BR-15s are not that bad.

The BR-15s actually sound almost as good at lower volumes, but once you get up to the higher volumes, like at a club gig, the extra wattage the S115Vs handle really shines on the low end, while the bass on the BR-15s gets a bit muddy and isn't nearly as tight.

Qualtiy-wise, both are very good. I have been using my S115Vs for 2.5 years, twice a week, at high volumes with no problems and have actually been using the BR-15 for 4 years with absolutely no problems.

SO save up the extra $$ for the S115Vs if you can, because they are exceptional for the $$$ for pro karaoke, but otherwise the BR-15s will certainly do the job. Either way, make sure you fully drive them with a properly matched amp!!

Musicans Friend has a PA Package with those speakers and a Yamaha Dual 500 watt Mixer Amp with Mic`s and a couple other things that come with the package and I was thinking about it. Actually I was planning on just the Mixer Amp and then I seen the package anyways you know how the story go`s...
