Hello everyone, I am a newbie to Karaoke. I am looking to purchase a portable system. My wife and I travel in our motorhome  and I feel we could use it at campouts. We also do builds for Habitat for Humanity where we have about ten other couples, and we enjoy getting together in the evenings. I felt a portable system would be easier to carry around. I have been looking at RSQ Systems and Vocopro Systems. Not too sure about NEO+G format. Please give me some feedback or suggestions. Thank you so much. Ken

Can't advise on the cd players as I use a laptop.  But as far as a portable pa system that would be relatively cheap and fit the bill for your needs, I was suggest looking into the Fender Passport Systems.  Packs quite a bit of sound for as small as they are and easy to store and set up.

Thanks for the reply Kelly. With this system what would I need, just a player? Also I would like to stay around $500.

That and the karaoke cd player should handle what you want.  The Fender system's do come with a mic, I believe, but you might want to consider something like a Shure SM58.

Hopefully someone else on here could recommend a good player for you.

Yeah, for a goof mobile system, I too recomend the Passport systems.  THey are easy to use, easy to setup, and compact.

As for players.....

Although I am not computerized, I have 2 of the above players, and will NEVER EVER git rid of them even if I never ever use them again.  THoes playes went through HECK and back, and worked great everytime!  I did mount then in a SKB hard case, just to protect a little.

Thanks Anthony, I really appreciate your input. How much power would I need with a JVC unit.
