We've all been talking about the hot weather lately. How about
some crazy weather. In the past week we have had 100 degree weather
with 82 percent humidity, 50 degree weather (I had to where a coat), thunder storms and a hail shower that covered the ground like snow.

what next?

Dear God, let's at least pray they have a green card.

I'm not complaining! Our vegetables are growing like they've been exposed to gamma rays! Last year we must have cultivated six crummy looking tomatoes (they resembled jawbreakers out of a gumball machine) the entire summer and so far I've plucked a load of them off with a lot more to come and we might finally get a watermelon or two to grow this summer. I know this enthralls everybody....

The Four Horsement have been delayed in a contract despute.  Reportedly Famine and Pestilence don't feel they can work together anymore.  War is sick of the two of them arguing all the time and Death has taken a holiday.

It has been rumored that Famine is going to be traded for a disaster to be named later but this has not been confirmed.  As of this writing PMS seems to be the only likely replacement as it is thought that all of the other potential candidates are simply too wimpy for Four Horsemen status.

This of course raises the gender issue.  Heretofore the Four Horsemen have all been male.  Women's rights activists across the globe have lobbied for centuries to change this and the inclusion of PMS appears to be the first real opportunity for reform in this area.

There are many traditionalists, including authors, who argue that "The Four Horsepeople" just doesn't have the same ring to it.  Assuming that the movement in favor of PMS is successful, it does not appear that the name of the group is likely to be changed to "The Three Horsment and the Horsewoman".   It is almost universally felt that the four have always operated as a team and that should continue, adopting a name that separates one of the members from the others would tend to lessen the concept of team.

Film at eleven.

GARDENING: One more reason to pack up and move to Texas!!

ohhhh speaking of which..... I have this regular customer at work.... typical T-shirt/baseball cap kinda guy...... he came in the other day in a STETSON and WRANGLERS!! I nearly PASSED out.... I told him I never thought of him as being a cowboy kinda guy and he goes "WHAT are you kidding? I was born in Texas! I got this hat when I went back last year"

He has completely lost his accent, which is kind of disappointing, but needless to say..... I think I'm in love! ROFL!  :cowboy:

Two guys, who had never left the farm decide to take a roadtrip.
They're riding down the road and see a grocery store for the first time. They stop and decide to go in. As they enter they are amazed at all the food and produce available for them to purchase.
One says, 'man this here is great, they gots a place whur you can come git stuff that's already been picked'
The clerk ask if he can assist them.
the reply, 'Yeah I'd like some dimdar maters, taters and naners'(that's banana's to all you yanks out there"
They go back out to the car, still beaming with delight at their new found discovery.
A bit further down the road, they decide to stop at yet another store, and again are amazed at all the fresh produce available.
Again a clerk, sensing their bewilderment ask if he can assist them and once again the reply is,
'Yeah I'd like to git some dimdar maters, taters and naners'
The clerk gladly assist them and once again they are merrily on their way.
About an hour down the road, they once again spot a store along the highway.
Thinking to themselves that 'Third times a charm' they go inside.
They walk up to the counter and the clerk ask if he can assist them, of course the response is
'Yeah, I'd like to git some maters, taters, and naners'
The clerk suddenly has a puzzled look on his face and ask the boys, 'Come again?'
'Say yeah, I'd like to git some maters, taters and naners'
The clerk smiles and says, 'You boys are from Alabama aren't you'
The two bumkins turn to one another, wide eyed and opened mouth and say
'Holy cow, yeah wur from Alabama, how'd you know?'
The clerks answer, 'Cos this is an autoparts store'

Yeah, yeah I know, jokes don't translate well over the net, but all this talk about veggies reminded me of it, and I thought I'd just share.
Okay I'll go back to my corner now.
